With Mécaniques de lumière, Pola 4.0 explores the automobile as a territory of form, line, and reflection.
More than the object itself, the artist is drawn to the tension of its curves, its contained power, and the way light continuously transforms its perception. On aluminium, metallic surfaces, colour, and flashes of light interact, shifting the image between presence and movement.
Conceived as a series apart within her practice, Mécaniques de lumière embraces a more instinctive and visual approach: a fascination with mechanical forms that light seems to endlessly redraw.
