In Modern Amazons, the ocean becomes a metaphor for a world whose movements can neither be fully anticipated nor contained. It is a space of uncertainty, where balance does not precede movement but is formed through it.
The figures of Pola 4.0 do not seek to dominate this space. They confront it, move through it, and trace their own trajectories within it. Courage emerges less as a display of strength than as a way of engaging with what lies beyond our control.
Against this sense of power, the artist deliberately sets the softness of a pastel palette. This tension runs throughout the series: strength and softness are no longer conceived as opposites, but as two possible expressions of the same sovereignty.
The series thus opens a reflection on balance as a state in motion: a way of being in the world that presupposes neither mastery nor stillness.
